Meet Matt – the guy who runs our in-house Technology Lab and helps lead our quality, consistency and value engineering efforts.

It takes a lot of know how to oversee the Metallurgical Technology Lab & Production Excellence Center at Kowalski Heat Treating.  Over the years we’ve invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into our “geek” staff and lab services, hiring the very best guys and providing them the latest testing equipment and industry training –  all with one goal in mind – to make sure your jobs run right, every time.

Whatever the job – vacuum hardening, rack salt austempering, deep cryogenics, pulsed plasma ion-nitriding or close tolerance specialty flatwork – we make sure all your specifications are measured and met, along with tracing failure analysis, conducting microstructures examinations, digital imaging or applying our industry’s hardness testing measures.  And when something comes up, don’t be surprised if we just pick up the phone and give you a call with improvements we’ve tested and believe in.
